12 rules for a clean home every day
1. Don’t walk around with dirty shoes – it may sound logical, but it often happens at the last minute, after we’ve put on our shoes, that we remember that we’ve forgotten something in the other room. Walking in with dirty shoes leaves footprints and stains on the floor, which will then cost you more time and effort in basic cleaning.
2. Straighten up your bed – it takes no more than 5 minutes and instantly leaves you feeling cosy and tidy. To save time, use sheets with elastic – they are easier to stretch. Cover with a duvet cover to enhance the decor in the bedroom and hide the little creases from the duvet.
3. Ventilate – fresh air is good for both your health and home comfort. While you’re having your coffee in the kitchen, open up the bedroom, or air out the living room while you get ready for work in the bedroom.
4. Don’t pile up the laundry – if you notice you’ve collected enough clothes from one group, just pop them in the washing machine – it won’t take more than a minute or two, and the result will be a reduced pile.clean home

5. Don’t mess up your clothes – this is how you keep your home tidy and prepared for unexpected guests. In the bedroom, you can hang hangers on the door to put your home clothes there. The other option is to set aside a special place (chair, armchair, metal hanger) where you can leave the clothes you’ll be wearing to work.

6. Tidy up the living room every night – this is the room where you welcome your guests. It’s a good idea to be prepared for any unexpected visits, so it’s best to straighten the decorative cushions, tidy the coffee table and clear away any glasses, books or other forgotten items the night before.

7. Don’t keep the dishwasher waiting – when it’s finished, unload the dishes and put them back in their place. After dinner, load it up for a new course right away – that way, dishes won’t pile up in the sink, and dried food is easier to wash away.
8. Clean the sink – speaking of washing dishes, it should be noted that the sink needs attention too. Don’t let it fill up, and dispose of leftover food immediately before it goes down the drain. Add a little detergent too for more shine.
9. Keep the kitchen clean – while something delicious is baking in the oven, you can wipe down the kitchen counter or put the dirty dishes from meal prep in the dishwasher. Once you’ve finished working on the hob, wipe around it so there are no grease stains.

10. Don’t forget the toilet – a little detergent and a nice air freshener are a quick and easy way to clean your sink and toilet bowl in minutes.

11. Tidy on the move – whenever you notice something out of place, put it back where it should be.
12. Plan – organization is the key to a clean and tidy home. Plan your household chores – which day is more convenient for you to iron, which day to scrub the bathroom tiles when to run the vacuum cleaner.

In the meantime, do everything else on the list – it won’t take more than 30 minutes a day, but it will save you a huge amount of effort on basic cleaning and you’ll always have peace of mind that your home is clean and ready for guests.
