Q, How can I clean the inside of a stainless-steel teapot that’s encrusted with tannin stains? It’s too small for my hand to get in to scrub.
A Fill with hot (not boiling) water, add a tablespoon or a tablet of biological detergent and leave to soak overnight. Rinse well and, if necessary, use a nylon brush to shift stubborn deposits. For an extra sparkling finish, take a bottlebrush to the inside of the spout. Or fill with hot water, pop in a few denture clean- ing tablets and soak overnight.
